What a fun week it has been - 4 visits to the doctor and now a visit to the ER last night and a broken wrist! Luckily, I think the medicine is really starting to work for the twins. But poor Dallin. Ed had taken the big 3 boys to lunch, min-golfing, and a playground yesterday. Dallin fell and hurt his wrist. We just thought he fell hard. But when it had been 4 hours and he was still crying and complaining about it, I decided we better make sure he was okay. So, off to the ER we went. We are lucky and our ER is very fast - in and out in under 2 hours - and everyone was so nice to Dallin. They took several x-rays which showed that he has a BULGE FRACTURE (or a twist fracture or some other name that sounds like tortoise). They put a splint on it since it was a little swollen and will swell for the next few days. In 5 days I take him to the pediatrician to get a real cast put on it - which he will have for 4-6 weeks. He is pretty exhausted today but being really good about icing it and elevating it. This is our first broken bone - but with 5 boys and 1 girl, I imagine this is the first of MANY!

Oh no! When it rains it pours, I guess. I'm glad you took him in. Always got to listen to that little voice. . .
I am glad the twins are feeling better. Thank goodness for a fast ER! Poor Dallin. You are a good Mom to get him in so fast!
Oh my goodness!!! You are having "fun" aren't you. I'm glad Dallin is doing better - poor kid. Good luck with this week - hopefully it will be a nice and uneventful! :)
poor guy! At least it didn't happen in the summer when kids want to be in the water--right?? :)
Hang in there, sounds like it's been a rough week!
Oh Michelle, I'm so sorry! Hope this week is better! Thinking of you (and the sick and injured kids)! If you ever need anything, let me know!
