4 More Kids Makes for a GREAT Night

We have been trying for months now to have our friend's kids over for a fun Friday night but we just could never seem to find a night that worked (especially with Christmas). But last Friday night it all came together and it turned out to be the PERFECT night for them to come over, for our friends to get some things done, and for us to have fun with TEN kids (8 and under). We started the night with pizza and breadsticks. Then the kids went and played in the basement (their 4 kids are the same ages as our 4 oldest so it really works well - that and the fact that their kids are wonderful kids) and I set up for our craft (Heather, my neighbor, came over to help with the twins - she LOVES Cameron). We made these really cute Valentine holders that you can hang on a chair or door. The kids had a lot of fun making them. Then they were off to play again while I set up for decorating heart shaped sugar cookies. What kid doesn't like frosting cookies and putting candy on them? Chase (2) was so cute - he just kept un-frosting the cookies and eating the frosting. After cookies, we all headed to the basement for a movie (Sandlot) and popcorn. Ed even got home early that day to make sure he was there to help - and he was a HUGE help! It turned out to be a really fun night! We need to do nights like this more often!

You are insane! 10 kids - I can't even handle my 3. I think we need to move closer to you. I'll send mine over anytime you want. Spencer will help with the little ones, Ella will do all your laundry and dishes, and Libby will just look cute.

You are a great mom for doing these nights with your kids - I hope I can get the energy soon to start doing more with my little ones.
