Chocolate Caramel Pretzel Sticks

I made these for our Relief Society (woman in my Church) Christmas dinner that was at my house last night.  I LOVE how the twisted caramel looks.
A couple of people have asked me how to make these so here is the recipe.  Not sure it prints well so if it doesn't, let me know and I will email it to you.

Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Bread Recipe

I LOVE Fall!  It cools off, the leaves change color, and I get to bake PUMPKIN CHOCOLATE CHIP BREAD - which is SOOOOOO YUMMY!  Every year, right before Halloween, I make a whole bunch of mini-loaves for Ed to take to work.  My kids were upset that the bread was all for dad to take to work so I made another triple batch.  FYI - they freeze great!
2 baskets full of mini loaves going to Xactware tomorrow.
Several people have asked if I share recipes and YES, I do.  It isn't like I made this up and am trying to make money off of selling them (and I got this recipe from my friend Carol).  So here you go:
Let me know if you have any questions and/or problems.  And let me know if this prints ok - if not, I will try to fix it.

S'mores Bark Recipe

This is one of the S'mores desserts I made for our Cub Scout Blue & Gold Banquet back in February.  We LOVE these at our house - and they are a quick and easy treat to make.  Enjoy!

SuperBowl Recipes (3 of 3)

I have a million other things I should be doing but thought it would be more fun to blog for just a minute.  Here are the last 3 dessert recipes from my Super Bowl Party way back in February. I have to say the Oreo Rice Krispies and the Carmelitas were the FAVORITES!  Growing up I loved the Caramel Brownies but I think I messed up - I will have to try them again one day.  But for sure, make the Oreo Rice Krispies and the Carmelitas - they are YUMMY!

SuperBowl Recipes (2 of 3)

Things have been extra crazy around here and I have so much that I want to blog but just haven't had the time.  So I thought I would post some more of my dessert recipes from our SuperBowl party.  Enjoy!

Super Bowl 2013 Dessert Recipes (1 of 3)

Here are the THREE cookie recipes from my Super Bowl party this year.  I did test printing the recipes and I got it to work great if you open each recipe in a NEW TAB (I have a Mac - not sure if it is different on a PC, sorry).  I did that by right clicking on the image and selecting to Open Image in New Tab.  Enjoy!  I will post the other recipes soon.

Zesty Slow Cooker BBQ Chicken Recipe

I have been TRYING to be better about cooking dinner so I have been trying a few new, SIMPLE and FAST, recipes.  I have found that if I try to do a BIG dinner, it doesn't happen - I just don't have the time and my kids definitely DON'T care.  I found this one a couple of weeks ago and I really like it.  It takes NO time at all to make (it does take 4-5 hours to cook but maybe 5 minutes prep time) and can be eaten in shifts.  My kids all even liked it (ok, not Cameron but I am working on him - he wouldn't even try it last week when we had it).

Enjoy!

Chocolate Caramel Pretzel Stick Recipe

I know this isn't the most exciting recipe and that I promised a lot of other recipes that I have not posted yet - but I signed up to take one of my favorite holiday treats to a thing at Church tonight, along with the recipe.  So, I figured that since I had the recipe typed up I might as well post it.  These treats are pretty easy but so yummy and I think they look pretty cool since I wrap thin strips of caramel around the pretzel rods instead of dipping them in the caramel.  Anyway, I hope this recipe helps and doesn't confuse you (let me know if it does).  Enjoy!

Gingerbread Pumpkin Trifle Recipe

Thanksgiving Recipe #1 - Gingerbread Pumpkin Trifle.  I got this recipe out of "Savoring the Seasons with Our Best Bites" cookbook that I bought at Costco last month.  This is such an easy dessert to make.  And what makes it really nice is you can make all the parts the day before and then just assemble the trifle an hour or two before dinner.  Enjoy!

Oatmeal Butterscotch Cookie Recipe

Our good friends were in town from California for Thanksgiving and wanted to get together some of their (and our) friends.  So we had a little dinner party for them last night.  I tried some new recipes for the desserts so I thought I would share some - starting with Ed's favorite: Oatmeal Butterscotch cookies.  Not to make them sound too good but Ed said they are probably his "most favorite cookie of all".  They are simple to make so you might want to try these sometime!

Hot Fudge Sundae Sauce Recipe

Normally I have a picture to go with the recipes I post but I am having serious problems with iPhoto right now so the recipe itself will have to do (and with a recipe like this, you don't really need a picture). I got this recipe from my friend Dani (thanks Dani) and made it for Dallin's birthday party a couple of weeks ago - and I must say it is super yummy!

Hot Fudge Sundae Sauce

16oz chocolate chips (I used semi-sweet)
1/2 cup butter
2 cups powdered sugar
1 1/3 cups evaporated milk
1 tsp vanilla

Melt butter, add chips over lower heat.  Add powdered sugar and evaporated milk blending well.  Bring to a boil stirring constantly and let boil for 4-5 minutes.  Makes thick and yummy topping.  Store in refrigerator.  Good for a couple of weeks (if it lasts that long).

Enjoy!

White Corn Guacamole Recipe

Ever since I tried the White Corn Guacamole at California Pizza Kitchen years ago, I have wanted to find the recipe. I finally took a little time and googled it. I found this copy cat recipe and it is so YUMMY! I use more avocados and lime juice than the recipe calls for but it really is tasty. It is kind of a dump recipe - simple to adjust to your tastes. Enjoy!

Santa Hat Party Mix Recipe

Okay - so this is another recipe you will need to tuck away and save for next year (sorry I was so slow in getting this out). My sister found this recipe HERE and we also saw the Santa hats being made on Studio 5 (a local show). It is super easy but so fun. I got lazy this year and half of this mix that I gave out did not have the super cool and cute Bugle Santa hats (sorry). Hope you like it!

Red Velvet Santa Hat Pancake Recipe

File this one away for next year since I am so late in posting this. We made these for the boys the day before Christmas and they LOVED them. They are so cute and easy to make. We saw it on a local show called Studio 5 (click HERE for a link to the recipe and video clip). Enjoy these next year!

White Chocolate and Raspberry Swirl Cheesecake Recipe

I have made this cheesecake several times in the past 2 months and it is ALWAYS a huge hit! I took it to Ed's work for his birthday and it was hands down the favorite (shortbread cookie crust). I made it for Ed's family and they loved it (Oreo cookie crust). I also made mini ones for my ward Relief Society - I drizzled each one with some of the raspberry filling (thinned with a little water), put a mint sprig on each one and a fresh raspberry. So cute and so yummy! Enjoy!

Sweet Pork Recipe

Matthew LOVES Mexican food so we that is what we had at his Baptism. I love the sweet pork at Cafe Rio so I wanted to find a recipe at least close it. I found this one here and I LOVE it. I don't know that it is exactly like Cafe Rio but it is super yummy, definitely sweet, but so yummy! Enjoy!

Lemon Basil Pasta with Grilled Chicken Recipe

I didn't take a good picture of this (but if you go to my cousin Amanda's site, where I found the recipe, there is a great picture - click here) but oh my goodness this is SUPER YUMMY! I made it a couple of weeks ago and then again last night for a baby shower and it is so good. I never would have thought to put lemon on pasta but it is so light and tasty. And the grilled chicken makes it a meal (I can take or leave the basil).

Anyway, I haven't had time to scrapbook this week so you just get another recipe. Hope you enjoy it!
