Happy Birthday Ed!

Happy Birthday (2 days ago) Ed! We didn't do anything huge that day at home but we had a party for Ed and 2 of our friends before Thanksgiving (still need to blog about that) and I took lots of yummy treats to work that day for Ed's birthday (3 cheesecakes, fancy toffee brownies, fancy caramel rice krispy treats, and fancy mint rice krispy treats) - which is part of why I haven't had a second to scrapbook/blog lately. For his birthday at home, we had a HEALTHY dinner (homemade tomato soup and veggies - some of Ed's favorites) and a ZUCCHINI cake (yes I said zucchini). The kids even liked the cake! Hopefully I will have time to put some of the recipes up here soon. All in all, it was a fun day - at least we had lots of yummy treats!

Happy B-day to Ed!!! Your treats look amazing! You are an inspiration to me. I am making my first water bathed cheesecake this weekend (any suggestions?? I remember you saying to use lots of foil so it doesn't leak. I will do that for sure:) Thanks for sharing your talent with us all!

Why am I not surprised that Ed found a way to put veggies into his cake? :)

Happy Birthday Ed! I hope this year brings you more fashionable clothes so you can stop offending the national media.

Just kidding. I think what makes that whole thing so funny is that you and Michelle dress so conservatively that I'm sure he's seen some crazy clothes in NYC but couldn't handle your shirt - you guys are the last people I would expect that to happen to!
