Happy St. Patrick's Day!

I didn't really realize that St. Patrick's Day was almost here until the day before. Luckily, I was able to find a few fun little things to help make it a fun day for the boys. They woke up with a shamrocks on their door and a sign that said,
You're
Lucky, Lucky,
I've Been Told . . .
You've Just Been
Struck with
Shamrocks and Gold!
Then there was a trail of gold coins leading from their bedroom, downstairs to the kitchen were there were a few fun little things waiting for them (Leprechaun hats, shamrock necklaces, green candy). They thought it was FABULOUS! After school we made SHAMROCK PRETZELS (so easy to make - I found them a few years ago in the Family Fun magazine). Then we had a GREEN dinner! Gavin was pretty grossed out by the green breadsticks but they all thought it was fun. Holidays (even silly ones like St. Patrick's Day) are definitely more fun when you have little kids!

*** Happy Birthday to my sister Gina! Wish I could be there to celebrate with you! ***

Do you ever do anything that's not completely over the top? I told my boys to put on a green shirt and shoo'd them out the door. You put me to shame girl!

Um, where do you get your energy??? You are beyond fantastic! We were lucky to get both green beans and peas for dinner :) Love all your great ideas! Maybe next year!

So cute, Michelle! We did some St. Patty's day fun for dinner, but I love the idea of starting the day out "Leprechaun style" in the morning too! Great pics of a memorable day!

I totally agree with other comments ... how do you do it? I thought about doing something special about 2 or 3 weeks ago, even bought the girls each a little $2 necklace with a shamrock inside a clear stone ... and then it was here and I realized I had nothing else planned so I gave them their necklaces as we were doing hair and they were dashing out the door. I seriously think you and Dani need to share ALL your plans a day or two before so I can copy. :)
