This may seem silly to some, but I was SO EXCITED when my Pseudo Aunt Sandy (not really my Aunt but I consider her one) called me and told me that her son could get me 6 tickets to the circus! My Grandpa took us every year for years when I was a kid - I have such great memories of going to the circus so I couldn't wait for my kids to have fun memories of the circus as well. Ed was out of town for work so I took the big 3 boys and invited Michelle Taylor and her cute little girl Makenna (thanks for coming with us!).
We got to go early and meet the animals and then go onto the arena floor for the pre-show (we got to meet clowns, see glimpses of the acts, and watch 2 amazing elephants paint, play soccer, and play basketball). Matthew even got to participate in the dog show.
The circus itself was so much fun! It has definitely changed since I was a kid but still a great time! They had people shooting out of cannons, tightrope walkers, acrobats, horses (even zebras), dogs, tigers (Gavin's favorite because "they got mad"), and mine & Michelle T's favorite the elephants! Dallin kept asking,
"Why do they do dangerous things at the circus?"
and Gavin kept saying,
"thems gonna die!".
Matthew thought some of it was scary & dangerous until the guys were running on the outside of the spinning cage/circle things. Then he, very enthusiastically, said,
"I want to do that!"
We had a FABULOUS time! Thanks Pseudo Aunt Sandy! You are the best!

I am sooooooooooooooooo jealous. I have such awesome memories of going with grandpa growing up. I can't believe Matthew got to be a dog trainer. So FUN!

I'm so glad you all had such a great time and I was so looking forward to the pictures. Matthew hit the jackpot. I'm jealous too, just like Gina. I haven't been to the circus in a million years! I'll let you know the next time Gary has more tickets...maybe Disney on Ice. Not sure what's on the upcoming arena schedule.
It looks so fun! It brings back so many memories of being a kid.
So fun! We went to the show when they were here in the spring. We can't wait to do it again next year. The kids absolutely loved every second of it.
