Sweet little Kesley found her thumb yesterday and boy does she love it. Right now, it is such a blessing to me that when her pacifier falls out, she can suck on her thumb and calm herself down. But I know that down the road it will be a curse - you can't throw away or "miss place" a thumb but you sure can get rid of a pacifier. For now though, I will just be happy that she can calm herself down when I can't get right to her. She is so cute when she sucks on her thumb. I love when her hand covers her face - what a cutie!

We haven't had any thumb suckers yet, but I can definitely see that it could go both ways. I love the picture of her sucking her thumb with the binky sitting on her chest where it fell out. She's very cute!
Kesley is our first and only thumb sucker - so I'm not sure what to do.
It's definitely cute when they are little, Sydney sucked her thumb and she just stopped this past June at the age of 6. GOOD LUCK!!!
Raeleigh sucked her first two fingers, she would not take a pacifier. However she gave up sucking her fingers before turning a year old. I will hope that same thing happens with Kesley!
Taylor was my thumb sucker ... but she phased it out on her own. It was only when she was sleeping by about 2 years old, and then it just slowly went away. She does do it once in awhile now (at 6 years old) when she having a hard time sleeping (sick, upset, scared, overly tired). I have to say it was harder to get rid of the pacifier with Alyssa! :)
