Dance Festival

I FINALLY got smart about how to watch the annual Dance Festival with little ones.  I brought our super cool, MUST HAVE Sportbrella - used it for shade and to help contain the little ones.  I had a chair for each of the Little 3 AND snacks, drinks, and a couple toys of their choice.  We set up the umbrella and chairs a little out of the way from where everyone was sitting and walking.  Ed and I would sit with them until each of the Big 3's grades performed their dance.  Then we would make sure the Little 3 knew the rules - STAY IN THEIR SEATS!  It TOTALLY WORKED!  They just sat their eating their snacks, playing with their toys, and chatting with each other!
Gavin is too cute (it was his birthday)!  Second grade did their dance to a medley of PHINEAS and FERB songs.  So fun!
Matthew is so fun!  In 4th grade they learned all about Utah History.  So their dance was a square dance.  But to change it up this year (and make it more exciting), in the middle they danced to "Eye of the Tiger" - so much fun!
Dallin - my big 6th grader!  The 6th grade danced to "We Go Together" from Grease.  They had to dance with kids of the "other gender" - apparently none of the 6th graders were happy about it!
I LOVE LOVE LOVE watching my kiddos dance or do anything!
