Our Little Ballerina!!!!

What a HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY day!  Kesley FINALLY started ballet!  I got recommendations of where to take her from lots of people (thanks for all the help) - but 3 different people recommended Academy of Ballet but I was sold on them when I called and first they had an opening, and second the ballet they are doing this year is Cinderella - Kesley's FAVORITE!
She was so so excited to start!  We did her hair up in ballerina buns (I need to practice those).  And we got her clothes at her studio - they wear black leotards and everything else is pink.  She LOVES having real ballet shoes!
She was nervous to go in at first but then her teacher took her hand and walked her in - after that, she didn't have any problems!  She had a HUGE smile of her face the WHOLE time!
Her teacher helped show her FIRST POSITION.

She even learned how to do a plie (weird word - I googled it and that is how it said to spell it).
They hopped like bunnies - not sure what that has to do with ballet but it was cute!

 Doing her turns!
 Pointing her toes!

Going up on her tip toes!
 More plies!
Just being adorable - can you tell I have waited a long time for this!

Towards the end of class they get out a pink parachute that has a hole in the center.  Each girl got a turn to be the PRINCESS in the middle and spin around - the girls all LOVED it!  It was so cute!

What a fun experience this is going to be!

how lucky you are that she likes it. we started ella at age 3 as well because she begged for it and it was like pulling teeth to get her out on the floor every time. we canceled and started back over the next year. only marginally better. she would have been good. your daughter on her first day looks so confident! great work.
