Last week, Dallin had a pool party for his 5th grade (going into 6th grade) class. We ended up having 21 kids come! I didn't do much since I knew they were just going to want to swim (and I was right). I did see the idea for beach ball garland on Pinterest and thought it would be perfect for this party (and others this summer). I loved how it turned out - and so cheap and easy!
Here is my food table out on my deck. We had chips, watermelon, and pizza to eat. We had capri suns and water to drink and popsicles and ice cream sandwiches for dessert - so all really simple but like I said before, they just wanted to swim so the food was perfect!
I thought the watermelon on skewers would be easier for the kids to pick up and eat - and then I wouldn't need forks!
I saw this idea on Pinterest as well - I took the small, cheap lunch paper bags, cut a lot of each one off, folded them over and then attached some ribbon then filled with chips. I did this so the kids could just grab a bag (and cheaper than buying the small bags of chips) and go. It worked GREAT!
Here are Dallin and a couple of the boys eating - there were twice as many girls as boys!
Lots and lots of girls!
Noodle wars!
It was fun to watch all the kids interact. It ended up being a fun night for the kids (at least I think it was)!

Hi Michelle,
It looks like your yard is perfect for all of your big parties. Great decorations! I'm sure the kids were so thrilled. Going into 6th...ugh, really?!
