Brecken has CROUP again :(

Very EARLY this morning, Brecken woke-up crying/screaming/coughing.  I ran upstairs to the HORRIBLE sounds of CROUP!  He was having such a hard time breathing.  I quickly took him downstairs to our room.  I bundled him up and sat in front of an open door so he could breath in the COLD air.  After 10 minutes or so, it just didn't seem to be helping.  I told Ed that I thought I needed to take him to the ER.  Ed said he was thinking the same thing.  So I put contacts in and shoes on and was all ready to take him to the ER when his breathing got better - NOT good but definitely better.  So we didn't go.

We were suppose to go to St. George for my Aunt and Uncle's mission farewell (they are going to serve an LDS mission in Spain) - it was going to be the first time we took all 6 overnight since the twins were really little.  Instead, I took Brecken to the doctor where he got a shot of Decadron (I didn't want to risk him TRYING to drink it) - which he did NOT like, he was upset just about being at the doctor - he kept hiding under the chair, but I don't blame him.  The doctor did give Brecken a prescription for an eye infection (really good we went to the doctor).  So off to Target we went for his prescription and a PRIZE for having to get a "poke" - he picked out a Buzz Lightyear gun.

Hopefully CROUP and an eye infection is all it is! I am so sad we didn't get to go to St. George - but my sweet little Brecken (and all my kids) come FIRST!

Sad! Glad he is okay and it's under control quickly. Sorry you're missing the trip, but so glad he has his doctors near by! No more scary hospital stays!
