Ed's 40 (and a little more now)

Ed's birthday is the end of November so it usually gets a little forgotten (with Thanksgiving & Christmas there is never time for a party with friends). So this year, since it was he's 40th birthday, I decided to throw him a big party BEFORE Thanksgiving. Well, I had it planned for the weekend before Thanksgiving - which turned out to be the day after Brecken got out of the hospital. The invitations were out and the Tuesday night before his "party", I was still planning on having the party - since I thought Brecken was going home on Wednesday. Then Brecken stopped breathing again on Wednesday and I just couldn't do it - I had to cancel Ed's party. So, next year he is getting a party whether he likes it or not.

He did get sushi for dinner on his birthday (once he got back in town). And I did take tons of cheesecake and treats to Xactware for his birthday. His fabulous secretary also ordered pizza, salad, and breadsticks for his birthday so it was a real party - and somehow we managed to surprise him. He knew I was bringing the cheesecake and treats but he had now idea about the rest. Hopefully it was still a good birthday for him!
