Hiking the "Y" - oh the memories

Back in July, we thought it would be fun to take the big 3 (and my nephew Spencer) to hike the "Y" (not sure why we say "hike the Y" and not "hike to the Y" but that is how we said it in college). Ed and I hadn't hiked the "Y" since our college days - and I don't know that we ever did that together. On our drive down to Provo, it was pouring and there was tons of lightning. Luckily, it stopped right before we got there and we had BEAUTIFUL weather - not hot at all. They have definitely made improvements to the trail - restrooms at the trailhead, cool gate at the trailhead, markers at each switchback telling you how far to the next, railings. The boys thought it was cool that the "Y" was made out of cement and re-painted every year. It is also the biggest letter on a mountain - cool silly fact.

It was a fun night!
