Ed was in Florida for work earlier this week - what good timing. He was lucky enough to sneak away and watch the Space Shuttle launch! What a fabulous experience! He had so much fun getting to watch the launch. He said the coast was lined with people for miles. He how loud is was and said that he could feel it! The boys were excited because Ed brought home a packet of post cards for them to share. They loved hearing all about the Space Shuttle and outer space!

I am soooo jealous..it is a dream of mine to see that since I am such an astronomy nerd!!!
Steve will be SOOOOO jealous. This is a lifelong dream of his. Originally, there was supposed to be one the day after we come home from Florida in two weeks. We were going to extend our trip if it stayed on the calendar, but it got bumped. Then he was hoping this one would slide late enough that he'd at least get to see it land ... but it lands two days before we arrive. Then we hoped for the missile launch ... and it got bumped too! ... grrrr. He's so bummed!! What a cool opportunity for Ed! And a fun way to help teach your kids about it too.
