Brecken's Tonsils are OUT!

Yeah!  It was not a fun day (or 3) at all, but I am so HAPPY that his tonsils (and adenoids) are out!  In a few days, Brecken will be happy about it as well.  I can already tell he is feeling better!  The first night he was home, he slept for 15 hours!  I think he was making up for NOT sleeping in the hospital (or the last 2 months).  He laughs and dances and plays - but gets tired pretty fast and is VERY CUDDLY (which is NOT normal).  But there is hope.  He is eating yogurt, oatmeal, and applesauce really well.  I just hope in a few days I can get him to expand to new foods - like mac-n-cheese!  For now, I have a CONSTANT COMPANION - he is always right next to me - it is cute but hard with the twins (luckily, they are good babies).  And for the next week, we are confined to the house with no visitors - doctors orders.  There is so much going around (flu, swine flu, strep, etc) and it would be really bad if he got sick, so, we will stay home (not really anything new for us these days).  I am just so happy the surgery is over and it went well and my little Brecken can swallow again!

Wow, what an ordeal. I cannot believe you have been through this four times!

So glad it's all over (all three of my kids have had some potentially serious and seriously major surgery). The stress of a child having surgery not only zaps them, it will wipe you out too! Luckily, they recover much faster than we do and it will be a memory only on paper for him! Have fun being quarantined! Tiff

Poor little guy! I can't believe how big those tonsils were. Hopefully he gets to feeling better soon!
