So happy that I got to visit my sister Gina this weekend! Ed worked from home on Friday and will work from home on Monday so I could fly out to Washington State and visit her. I flew into Portland Friday morning. We ran an errand and then meet up with one of my BFF's and roommates from college, Rachel, who lives just outside of Portland. It was so good to see Gina - especially since she looks so GOOD - and to see Rachel, it had been way to long. It was so fun to sit at lunch with all of them - it was weird yet not weird at all to be sitting there with Rachel (even though it has been years).
I am so glad I got to come and visit my sister. My mom (who has been here for 2 weeks and will be here for 2 more weeks) and I have been organizing Gina's house, hanging things on the walls, and just trying to do things she hasn't been able to get to since she hasn't felt well. I would take more pictures but we really have just been working and sitting around. But I did take these pictures at lunch the first day. I am just so glad Gina is feeling so well right now - but that will change in a few weeks when she starts chemo.

Sounds like you had a fun productive trip! Glad you were able to make it out there to help Gina, i'm sure she appreciated having you there to help!
I'm so glad I had an excuse to see you! (But obviously not glad for the reason) Can't wait to see you again in the spring. We'll be praying for Gina!!!
Love that picture of you and Rachel! Makes me miss us! That was such a great year for me, great memories, so much fun...
