Closet Organizer

I don't know about the rest of you, but my house does NOT have enough storage - especially for all the gloves, scarfs, and hats/beanies that we use in the winter (something very new to me since I grew up in AZ). So, when I saw this on Good Things Utah (I think that is where I saw it) I had to try it. It is a shoe organizer that hangs on the back of a door. I got it for around $10 at Wal-Mart. I hung it on the back of one of the hall closet doors. Each of the big 4 boys (and Ed and I) has their own row to store their stuff in. So, when they are in a rush out the door to school, etc., they know exactly where to find their stuff that will help keep them warm. So far, it has been FABULOUS!

How funny - I'm in the middle of doing the EXACT same thing! I saw it in a magazine last year and have not been able to get it out of my mind. Glad to hear it is working for you!

I'm also using one with smaller slots for all the shoes I just got Elizabeth at the huge Old Navy sale.

Good idea! Although the whole living in Arizona idea so you don't have to worry about it is not sounding so bad right now either:)

Love that idea! What's your trick to getting your kids to put the gloves and hats BACK INTO their right spot????? I have a basket it for them right now and they still end up on the floor! Sigh.....

oooh that is a GREAT idea! I just may have to steal that one--I've been looking for something to help with that same problem we have. I also once saw those shoe organizers used as hair bow/elastic organizers...

I finished mine a couple days ago and while we haven't needed to use it yet - I LOVE to look at it! All neat and organized.

It did make me realize we have a ton of gloves/mittens missing their other half - maybe that's why I keep buying more and more. Hopefully this system will keep that to a minimum.

I also finished the one with Libby's shoes and socks on one side and some hair bows on the other (most would get to squished).

Thanks for the inspiration to FINALLY finish this ongoing project.
