This boy melts my heart and makes me laugh like no one else can. I just LOVE him!
This year I decided to have separate birthday parties, with friends, for the twins. It definitely made for an extra CRAZY week (since their birthdays and parties were the week we got back from Lake Powell) - but so much fun!
He LOVES Batman so he had to have a Batman party!
This post will be about the set-up - which I must admit was a lot less than I had wanted to do - but I just didn't have the time. We got home from Lake Powell late on June 8, Matthew & my birthdays were June 9, Cameron's party was June 11, a BBQ/swim party with our friends on June 12, Kesley's party on June 13, and then Ed and I left for Australia on June 15 - I will post about all of them soon (hopefully).
Batman Party - Set-up
I hung this cute blanket that I found at Target or Wal-Mart (I can't remember which one) so the kids would see it when they first walked in the house. It was the perfect decoration since he LOVES blankets
I found this custom shirt on Etsy for him. LOVE it! My mom made the cute SuperHero (reversible) mask and (reversible - one side Batman, one side Superman) cape.
How cute is this boy!
Here is the centerpiece that I bought (the pdf file that is) on Etsy.
Cameron's party was all outside (so it was a morning party so it wouldn't be as hot) - so I set-up the food table on the back deck. I cut out a city skyscraper background out of butcher paper (that I bought by the yard at Zurchers) and taped it to the windows. Then I wrapped boxes (leftover from Gavin's Minecraft party) in black, yellow, and blue butcher paper and added rectangles for windows to make them look like buildings. I LOVE how it turned out - simple but cute.
I bought the fun custom happy birthday banner (the pdf file) on Etsy (have I mentioned that I LOVE Etsy - saves me these days) and had it printed at Alphagraphics.
I found these bouncy balls at a local grocery store (Ridley's in Alpine). I was going to put vinyl bats on them but the vinyl didn't stick well enough so we used a sharpie and outlined a bat instead. It still turned out cute. Each of the boys got to take one home with them.

The food was REALLY SIMPLE. I took all of Cameron's favorite foods (graham crackers, Ritz peanut butter crackers, Angry Bird crackers, strawberries, gold fish, grapes, pretzels) and assigned a SUPER POWER to them.
For little kid birthday parties I like to just make cupcakes - since they don't really like to eat much cake. I bought the cupcake wrappers and customized toppers (pdf files) on Etsy. I did serve ICE CREAM at the party since Cameron LOVES vanilla ice cream.
Another one of Cameron's favorite treats is POPCORN - so we had to have that too.
His favorite drink is APPLE JUICE so I had little bottles of apple juice for the kids.
I had several of these tissue balls around the table with the fun SuperHero sayings.
Cameron thought it looked COOL so I was happy with it!
What a sweet boy! He was so excited to have his OWN birthday party!
I know it is silly, but when I saw a woman's Batman shirt on sale at Kohl's, I had to get it for me for the party.
All the kids were excited for the party! I am one lucky mom!
