Aquarium - Once in a Lifetime Experience!

Back in January, when we were invited to a party closed to the public at the Living Planet Aquarium in Sandy, we were so excited and felt so lucky. Then once we got there, it turned out to be a once in a lifetime experience. First, we had dinner (catered by Costa Vida). Then we got to go see the new River Otter exhibit (that wasn't even open to the public yet). While we were checking that out, our friends that invited us asked if our boys (we just took the 4 big boys) would like to FEED THE SEA TURTLE! Are you kidding? Of course they did - I did! We were then taken back BEHIND the EXHIBITS, got to climb up and look down into the SHARK TANK where the sea turtle lives. We got to feed her lettuce and watch her (and the sharks) swim. It was AMAZING! Then, as if that wasn't enough, we got to go BEHIND the RIVER OTTER exhibit and see the 3 new river otters up close and personal (they were in their cages right in front of us). The boys LOVED it! Then we got to go out and go through the Aquarium with only about 50 other people - which meant the boys had the STING RAYS pretty much to themselves! It was great because this was the first time that Gavin cared about the sting rays - he usually is only interested in the sharks but this time we couldn't get him away from the sting rays. Even Brecken petted the sting rays. It was an AMAZING night!
