Matthew cracks me up. One day I got a "collared" shirt (aka polo) out for him to wear to school. He asked me if he could pick out a different shirt. I asked why. He said,
"none of the other kids that ride rip-sticks wear collared shirts and they will notice and make fun of me."
How do you argue with that! I tried to argue with him but he just didn't believe me when I told him no one would notice. So, I have bought him a lot of NOT "collared" shirts so other rip-stickers won't make fun of him!

I just had the IDENTICAL conversation with Jackson. Said no boys in 4th grade wear collared shirts. I told him once a week was fair. We shall see.
